How’re you getting along with your conscience?
Do you ever find you’re somewhat irritated with it?
The truth is you don’t really want to be on adversarial terms with it. Jesus told His Friends that His Spirit, when He came to be with them, would guide and convict them. Sounds a lot like what your conscience does wouldn’t you say?
When you find conviction increasing in volume, and you’ve chosen to follow Christ, don’t let it irritate you. The growing sensitivity, especially to things which haven’t been such a big deal before, is evidence that Our Lord is getting closer and more involved in your life. The conviction and direction are the very things you need to make choices like Jesus would make if He were you.
